Roy Haddad
Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor / Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor
I love helping clients grow, overcome challenges, and discover themselves. My approach is holistic: I believe that a healthy mind, body, and spirit require an overall balance in life. Relationships, work, education, spirituality, social life, personal care, and finances are all relevant. One’s balance can be upended in many ways – emotional wounds, lack of compassion to self or from others, feelings that you don’t “belong” due to culture or transition, decisions made in childhood that don’t fit anymore, or unforeseen world events that affect us personally – like a pandemic.
I offer a safe, non-judgmental environment for you to heal and grow. My approach is warm, accepting, empathetic, and client-centered, world view coming from living and studying abroad. I speak fluent French and Arabic. We will work together on developing your strengths and self-confidence. And, because we are all unique, my goal is to help you make positive, effective changes within your own pace, comfort-level, and style.
I have a use evidence-based therapeutic modalities in my practice, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Psycho-education, Biofeedback, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I work with individuals, adolescents and couples.
