“You’ve always had the power my dear, you just had to learn it for yourself” – Glinda
Life is full of stressors and complications. Relationships can be challenging, family can be overwhelming, demands of daily obligations can drain, or sometimes the path forward may feel uncertain. Therapy can be a way to clarify your situation and restore a sense of control. As your therapist, my role is to make you feel safe, heard, and challenged as needed. Every person is capable, they may just need some help to learn more effective or healthy skills to reach their goals and break free from past cycles.
I currently provide individual, family, and couples counseling to both adults and adolescents. Some of my areas of interest which I also have experience in are life transitions, chronic illness, family conflict, neurodiversity, identity struggles, anxiety, depression, and grief. I use a person centered, trauma informed, strengths-based approach and have a conversational style to help create a friendly and supportive atmosphere.
Some of my favorite therapeutic models include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which helps uncover unhelpful thinking patterns and reframe them, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, which helps regulate emotions and gain more control in stressful situations, and Solution Focused Therapy, which builds agency and focuses on what’s working. I welcome people from all backgrounds and am LGBTQIA+ affirming.
In my downtime I’m a cat mom to a fetch-obsessed kitty, like to hike in the woods, and enjoy listening to true crime podcasts.
