Payment for services provided by Twin Cities Therapy and Counseling Associates will vary depending upon health insurance coverage. Mental Health Care is paid by your insurance similarly to your other health care services. We submit bills to your insurance company, and you are responsible for copays and deductibles.
Our office accepts insurance with most insurance plans and are in-network with: Blue Cross/Blue Shield, UCare, Medica, and United Healthcare. Call or message us to see if we are in network with your plan.
TCTCA offers services to individuals without insurance, rates based upon the licensure and experience of your chosen therapist, please contact our office to learn more.

If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, you may be required to pay a no-show fee.

The cost of your therapy will vary depending upon the therapist you choose, service you receive, the discount your insurer applies to the bill, and your specific insurance benefits. To get an estimate of your out-of-pocket costs, or to inquire about our private pay rates, please contact our office and have your health insurance information ready.
TCTCA is an in-network provider for many insurance companies, including the following:

*Not every provider at Twin Cities Therapy and Counseling Associates is in-network with each of the above insurance companies so in order to ensure you are placed with an appropriate clinician please contact our office and we will be happy to help you find a suitable match.
*If you are insured by an insurance company that is not included above it’s possible that you may still be able to use your insurance’s “out of network” benefits. The best way to determine if our services will be covered by your insurer is to contact them via the telephone number provided on your insurance card. You may have to provide your insurer our NPI# which is 1104564145.

If you are using insurance TCTCA will submit a bill to your insurance company for the cost of your appointment. Typically within 1-6 weeks (depending upon the insurance company) TCTCA and you will receive an Explanation of Benefits that outlines the amount the insurance company has paid, the discount that has been applied to our standard rate, and the amount, if any, that you are responsible for. Once that information is received our office will charge the credit card you have on file in the amount dictated by your insurance company. TCTCA does not send regular invoices, however you will receive the explanation of benefits from your insurance company which will explain all of the charges. TCTCA values your time, and the time of your therapist, and ask that in the event you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment that you provide your therapist as much notice as possible. In the event that you have to cancel an appointment with less than 24 hours notice you may be required to pay a cancellation fee.
