Travis Michaels

Mental health is a journey, not a destination. With over 14 years of experience, I am here as a compassionate and understanding therapist, dedicated to fostering your positive change. Together, you and I will navigate challenges, uncover your strengths, and work towards personal growth. I tailor evidence-based techniques to your specific needs, offering a safe and non-judgmental space for our discussions. We will embark on this path towards healing and self-discovery for you and towards a more fulfilling life. I deeply value diversity and will always approach our sessions with cultural sensitivity, embracing the unique essence of each individual. Your decision to seek therapy is admirable, and I feel truly honored to support you every step of the way.

I work with both individuals and couples. I have experience assisting clients in addressing a wide spectrum of challenges, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, personality disorders, trauma, substance abuse, domestic violence, anger, emotional distress, life changes, sexual orientation and gender challenges and stereotypes, pregnancy, endometriosis, panic disorders, ADHD, Autism, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, bipolar, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

I excel in collaborating with clients who are not only open to discussing changes but are also committed to actively making positive changes in their lives. In addition to creating a secure and client-centered space, I integrate evidence-based approaches and therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT),
Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), PersonCentered |](PC), Feminist Theory (FT), Reality and Choice Theory, Existential Therapy, Adlerian and Family Therapy (AFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT).
